Arteriosclerosis is the thickening of the walls of the arteries and is the cause of the increase of many disabilities and the high death rate in more modern times. Arteriosclerosis is preceded, usually, but atherosclerosis, a kind of fatty infiltration in the inner lining of the blood vessel walls.
The symptoms of arteriosclerosis vary according to the arteries involved. Signs of inadequate blood supply usually appear in the legs, numbness and coldness in the lower leg area. Sometimes patients experience pain and cramps in the legs after light exercise.
The disease is caused by lack of physical exercise, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes, stress, and can even be hereditary.
Lemon Peels
Lemon peels is one of the richest sources for vitamin P which strengthens the entire arterial system. One can add the shredded peeling to soups, salads, or stews. We have also heard of people adding it to water and just drinking it that way, might not taste good but it is worth it. Remember, you can never consume to much!
Garlic and Onions
Garlic and onions have a preventative effect on arteriosclerosis, simply include them in the daily diet, preferably raw.
Honey
Repeatedly honey is used to help the body in so many ways, honey with a glass of water and a fresh squeezed lemon (tastes like lemonade) juice before sleepy is extremely beneficial in the prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis. If the patient wakes up in the middle of the night this drink should be consumed again. Remember that lemon juice has live enzymes that are very beneficial to the body, however when lemon juice is extracted and removed from the peeling the enzymes remain live for only ten minutes, be sure to avoid pre-making this drink.
Parsley
Parsley helps repair blood vessels and arteries and should be consumed as a tea. the patient can also add it to the honey drink above, be sure to chop the parsley or grind it.
