There are many ways to boost your appearance, from your hair to heels and teeth to toes. One of the best ways to radiate beauty on the outside is to exude beauty on the inside.
It's unfortunate we don't hear anyone saying, "Gosh, what a lovely liver you have!" or "Has anyone ever told you your blood vessels are stunning?" But in fact, that's what it often means when you look healthy.
For looking and feeling your best, the obvious nutrition advice is to eat your fruits and veggies. But I'd like to share a little not-so-obvious advice. Enjoy my suggested top three forgotten foods that'll put a deliciously dazzling smile on your face (and keep your liver and blood vessels in fine form!).

Whole grains are nutritional powerhouses thanks to their dietary fiber and antioxidants. Teff is a super-standout, boasting roughly double the iron and 20 times the calcium of many other grains. Bring back this tiny, ancient grain. It's got a light molasses-like sweetness and is easily enjoyed like oatmeal.

Go beyond the whites and enjoy the yolk. The yellow center contains lutein and zeaxanthin, which are important for eye health. A whole hard-cooked egg boosts high-quality protein that salads often lack and makes an ideal 75-calorie mini-snack too. (Just make sure to follow the doctor's orders.)
Lemon peel

Finely grate the skin of this sweet-tart citrus. Called zest, the peel's nutrients contain anti-inflammatory properties that are key to combating disease. Sprinkle zest onto food before adding salt. You'll ultimately use less sodium.
