One-Ingredient-Ice-Cream-Green-Life-PagesIce cream has always been a huge weakness for me, but now it doesn't have to be! A friend of mine forwarded a recipe for one ingredient ice cream that looked to good to be true. So I let the e-mail camp out in my inbox for a while and then tried it out.

Bananas are remarkable fruits and beloved by millions. They are rich in minerals and vitamins especially potassium. But would you ever guess that you could make ice cream from them? Yes, that's right, you heard me. Creamy, soft-serve style ice cream without an ice cream maker or overly complex recipes.

Simply freeze a peeled banana for a day or so, throw them in a blender (1-2 per person), and blend. Be sure to scrape the sides of the blender and blend until the texture is creamy and without lumps.

You can also add peanut butter, honey, chocolate, or whatever else you think of. This is sure to please the entire family and is super easy!

Be sure to let us know what you think!
